The yellow alert raised over the Visayas grid on Thursday, Oct. 15, has been lifted.
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert -- which is issued when the operating margin is not enough to meet contingency requirements -- was lifted as of 6:43 p.m.
Available capacity is 2603 MW while peak demand was at 2405 MW.
The NGCP earlier said the alert would be in place from 5 pm to 6 pm.
It said this was, among others, due to the unavailability of Visayas' large coal plants and the limited power import from the Mindanao grid due to both unplanned and planned outages.
Available capacity at that time was at 2557 MW while peak demand was at 2479 MW.
