Mayon spewed ash on Friday, Sept. 18, generating a plume that rose 300 meters above the summit crater.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the ash event took place at 8:44 a.m.
Nineteen volcanic earthquakes were also monitored at the volcano while a total of 887 tons of sulfur dioxide flux was reported.
PHIVOLCS said entry into the 6-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone should remain prohibited.
Aircraft should also be banned from flying above Mayon with, sudden phreatic and steam explosions, rockfall, among others, possible.
The volcano remains under alert level 2.
