The yellow grid raised over the Visayas grid has been lifted.
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert, which is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid's contingency requirements, is no longer in effect as of 6 p.m.
The NGCP said available capacity is at 2580 MW while peak demand is at 2278 MW.
Earlier, the. NGCP raised the yellow alert due to the unavailability of Visayas' large coal plants and the "deration" of Leyte-A due to the "tripping of several units."
The yellow alert was supposed to be in effect from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
