Heavy rainfall is expected over parts of the country from Thursday night due to the southwest monsoon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
According to PAGASA, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro will experience 50 to 100 mm of rainfall from Thursday night to Friday evening.
Occidental Mindoro will have 100-200 mm of rain tomorrow evening to Saturday evening, while Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, and Antique will experience 50 to 100 mm of rainfall.
From Saturday to Sunday evening, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro will experience the same conditions.
PAGASA said forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas.
"Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall," it added.
