Witnesses described terrifying scenes after a shooting at an apartment building in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday, September 2, left at least two people dead, including the suspected shooter, according to local media reports.
At least two Minneapolis police officers were also reported injured as heavily armed law enforcement personnel, including FBI agents, responded to the scene.
Chris Miller, a resident who witnessed the aftermath, said he found damaged entrances and two people lying covered in blood.
He also claimed the alleged shooter had previously been involved in confrontations with tenants and had allegedly displayed a gun.
Another resident recalled hearing multiple gunshots while trying to leave the building, describing the experience as “very, very scary” as officers entered the area with weapons drawn.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident after emergency services reportedly received a call about shots being fired shortly after 4:30 p.m. local time.
