A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Monday, Aug. 31.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 12:04 p.m.
Its epicenter was 37 km northeast of General Luna.
Its depth of focus was 10 km.
No damage to property was reported but aftershocks were expected.
