The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring a typhoon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
It said it is also monitoring a low pressure area inside.
PAGASA said Typhoon "In-fa" is so far located 2425 km east of extreme Northern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h and with a gustiness of 215 km/h.
The typhoon is moving west northwestward at 35 km/h.
The LPA, meanwhile, is located 475 km east of Borongan City in Eastern Samar.
PAGASA said in the meantime, rains are expected in parts of the country due to the shear line affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon and the northeast monsoon affecting the rest of Northern Luzon.
The weather bureau said Luzon will have moderate winds and moderate coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
