Sinabi ni Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte na walang lumabas na pangalan ni Vice President Sara Duterte o maging ang apelyidong “Duterte” sa mga opisyal na dokumentong isinumite ng GenCorp Industries Inc. sa 19 nitong transaksyon sa Davao City government.
Ayon kay Mayor Baste, umabot sa ₱33.26 milyon ang halaga ng 19 na transaksyon ng GenCorp sa Davao City. Dumaan umano sa pagsusuri ang bawat transaksyon at makikita ang mga ito sa Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS).
"I remain steadfast in my commitment to transparency, fairness and absolute truth. This statement is issued ahead of any so-called lawful proceedings as I believe that the people, especially the people of the City of Davao, have the right to know," dagdag ng alkalde.
