A turquoise-coloured house has captured attention in Nepal after remaining largely intact amid widespread destruction caused by a devastating mudslide in Trishuli, Nuwakot District.
Footage taken on Wednesday showed the lone structure standing near the banks of the muddy Trishuli River, surrounded by damaged homes, broken concrete, and piles of debris.
Dubbed the “green miracle house” by social media users, the building became a striking symbol of survival following the disaster that swept through towns and valleys in Nepal.
Rescue operations continue in affected areas, with authorities deploying excavators, helicopters, and heavy machinery to reach stranded residents and search for those still missing.
The disaster has left extensive damage across the Himalayan nation, including hydropower facilities where hundreds of workers were reportedly stranded, as rescue teams from Nepal, China, and India continue efforts to access remote and heavily affected communities.
