"Josie" has weakened into a low pressure area while traversing the Philippine Sea.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that while the LPA is less likely to directly affect the weather condition of the country for the next coming days, strong to gale-force gusts are expected over parts of the country due to the southwest monsoon.
These conditions will prevail over Ilocos Region, Abra, Apayao, Zambales, Bataan, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands on Wednesday and over Ilocos Region, Abra, Apayao, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands on Thursday.
PAGASA said the remnant low is expected to move generally north northeastward.
"However, as the remnant low moves over increasingly less favorable conditions, there is a likelihood that it may dissipate over the Philippine Sea," PAGASA said.
