The death toll from the Virgo Transport 8 ferry disaster in Indonesia has risen to 66, while 69 passengers remain missing as search operations entered their 16th day on September 28.
The ferry, carrying 243 people, capsized in bad weather on September 13 while traveling from Surabaya to Banjarmasin.
Divers continue searching the wreck in the Java Sea but face dangerous conditions, including unstable structures, leaking fuel, dense gas and sharp debris.
Authorities said 108 people survived, while efforts to reach cabins inside the vessel have been slowed by safety risks.
