Residents in Bangkok turned a flooded plaza into a temporary floating market on September 28, with vendors selling fish, vegetables and other essentials from floating platforms and foam boxes.
Buyers waded through floodwaters or paddled between makeshift stalls as flooding continued across parts of the Thai capital.
Bangkok is among 41 provinces affected by floods since September 16, with at least eight people killed and more than 580,000 homes affected.
The capital was declared a disaster-affected area on September 26 after nearly 300 millimeters of rain fell within 48 hours, inundating roads and neighborhoods.
