MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) is verifying reports that businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang has left the Philippines while authorities continue efforts to locate him in connection with the disappearance of several sabungeros.
PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said the police are coordinating with the Bureau of Immigration and other agencies to determine whether Ang departed the country and to validate the information.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) earlier said Ang is believed to be in Cambodia, although authorities have yet to confirm his exact location. The PNP said the manhunt remains ongoing as Ang faces kidnapping and homicide charges linked to the missing sabungeros case, urging anyone with relevant information to coordinate with law enforcement authorities.
