The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring two low pressure areas outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
PAGASA said the LPA 1005 km west of Southwestern Luzon has a "medium" chance of developing into a tropical depression while the one located 2895 km east of Eastern Visayas, meanwhile, has a low chance of developing into one.
The trough of the LPA will nevertheless bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley.
PAGASA said the southwest monsoon is still affecting Central Luzon, Southern Luzon and Western Visayas so cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are also expected over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas and Northern Samar.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
According to the weather bureau, extreme Northern Luzon will have moderate winds and moderate coastal waters while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
