Authorities recovered 30 bodies from the ill-fated MV June Aster on Friday, September 11, bringing the death toll to 35.
The Philippine Coast Guard said the bodies were retrieved after a fire out was declared and a safety assessment was completed.
The remains will be transported to the Port of Borac in Coron on Saturday, September 12, the PCG said.
On Thursday, the Department of Transportation said the vessel owned by DBP Leasing Corporation and operated by Atienza Interisland Ferries Inc was aground near an island some 1.5 nautical miles from the Port of Coron.
The DOTr had said survivors reported two successive explosions before the fire that engulfed the vessel on Sept. 9.
MV June Aster was on its way to Coron from Baseco in Manila when the incident happened.
