A 4.2-magnitude earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Friday, July 31.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was an aftershock of the 7.8-magnitude offshore Sarangani and 6.5-magnitude Davao Occidental tremors in June.
Friday's earthquake hit at 9:43 a.m.
Its epicenter was 29 km southwest of Balut Island.
The depth of focus was 36 km.
