The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring a low pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
PAGASA said the LPA 1545 km east of Eastern Visayas has a "medium" chance of developing into a tropical depression in the next hours.
It said so far, cloudy skies with scattered rains are expected over Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao due to the southwest monsoon affecting Mindanao and the western sections of Luzon and Visayas.
Flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.
Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, MIMAROPA, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and the rest of Mindanao, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA said the entire country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
