A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck Catanduanes on Wednesday, July 29.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 11:10 p.m.
Its epicenter was 71 kilometers southeast of Baras.
The depth of focus was 10 km.
The following instrumental intensities were reported:

Intensity II - Tabaco, Albay; San Roque, and Rosario, Northern Samar; Prieto Diaz, Bulusan, and City of Sorsogon, Sorsogon
Intensity I - City of Legazpi; Pili, Sagnay, Camarines Sur; Mapanas, Northern Samar; Gandara, Samar
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
