A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:34 a.m.
Its epicenter was 13 km southeast of General Luna.
The depth of focus was 23 km.
The following instrumental intensity was reported:
Intensity I - City of Surigao; Surigao del Norte
