An earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Friday, Aug. 28, anew.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the earthquake struck at 4:23 p.m., just hours after a 4.2-magnitude tremor jolted the province.
The epicenter of this recent earthquake -- an aftershock of the 7.8-magnitude offshore Sarangani and 6.5-magnitude Davao Occidental earthquakes in June -- was 74 km southeast of Balut Island.
The depth of focus was 10 km.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
