Mayon logged a minor Strombolian activity on Saturday, Sept. 26, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
PHIVOLCS said a plume that rose 1000 meters was generated during the event, which took place at 10:13 p.m.
In its Saturday advisory, PHIVOLCS said 17 volcanic earthquakes were also generated by the volcano in the last 24 hours.
A total of 692 tons of sulfur dioxide flux was also generated.
PHIVOLCS said entry into the 6-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone should remain prohibited.
All planes should also be banned from flying above the volcano with steam or phreatic explosions, rockfall, and lahar flow being possible.
Mayon remains under Alert Level 2.
