The downpour will continue in parts of the country on Sunday, August 30, as the southwest monsoon continues to affect Luzon and Visayas.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said it was also monitoring a low pressure area 1340 km east of extreme Northern Luzon and Tropical Depression "Saudel" outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
According to PAGASA, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, and Pampanga will experience monsoon rains while Metro Manila, Ilocos Norte, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro will have occasional rains.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region
The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, PAGASA said.
According to the weather bureau, Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters while the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
