The southwest monsoon is affecting the western sections of Luzon and Visayas.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said, as a result, Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Lanao del Norte will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.
The rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers, this time, due to localized thunderstorms.
The entire country, PAGASA said, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
