The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines has lifted the yellow alert over the Visayas grid.
The NGCP said the alert is no longer in place as of 10:15 p.m.
Available capacity is now at 2,471 MW while demand was at 2,181 MW.
The NGCP earlier raised the alert due to the unavailability of Visayas' large coal plants TVI 1, TVI 2, KSPC 1 & CEDC 1 and the emergency shutdown of TPC Coal.
It said the yellow alert would be in effect from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Two plants, the NGCP said, were on forced outage in August, three plants have been out since July, three plants since June, seven plants since May, one plant since March, three plants since 2025, two plants since 2024, two plants since 2023, and one plant since 2021.
Sixteen plants at that time were running on derated capacities, for a total of 1,062.3MW unavailable to the grid, the NGCP then said.
