Sinabi ng Palasyo na nakipagpulong si Department of Transportation (DOTr) Sec. Giovanni Lopez sa Office of the Executive Secretary upang pag-usapan ang pagbibigay ng fuel subsidy sa mga public utility vehicle drivers.
Kasunod ito ng paghahain ng rekomendasyon ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) para sa isang buwang double fuel subsidy.
“Nakausap po natin mismo si Secretary Banoy at mayroon po siyang pakikipagpulong sa Office of the Executive Secretary para pag-usapan po ang mga detalye patungkol dito. Pero sa ngayon po ay patuloy pa rin po, extended po hanggang katapusan ng August ang 10-peso per liter fuel discount or subsidy,” ayon kay PCO Usec. Claire Castro.
