The low pressure area being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has developed into a tropical depression.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the tropical cyclone is so far located 1295 km east of extreme Northern Luzon.
It is moving east northeastward at 35 kph.
PAGASA so far issued a heavy rainfall outlook for Zambales, Bataan and Occidental Mindoro for tonight and tomorrow, citing the southwest monsoon affecting Luzon.
Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Benguet, Abra, CALABARZON, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Marinduque, and Oriental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.
The rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA said the northern and western sections of Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
