Tropical Storm "Josie" is now inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that no tropical cyclone wind signals are so far, however, hoisted even with "Josie" estimated 1,085 km east of Eastern Visayas.
Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro will still experience strong to gale-force gusts today due to the southwest monsoon.
The same conditions will prevail over Ilocos Region, Abra, Apayao, Zambales, Bataan, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands on Wednesday.
On Thursday, Ilocos Region, Abra, Apayao, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands will have the same strong to gale-force gusts.
PAGASA said "Josie" will move generally northward until tomorrow before turning northeastward throughout the remaining forecast period.
It is forecast to steadily weaken into a tropical depression within the next 12 hours.
PAGASA said it may further weaken into a low pressure area by tomorrow due to an unfavorable environment.
"Josie" is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tonight or tomorrow morning.
