Cloudy skies and rains are expected over parts of the country on Tuesday, August 4.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to a low pressure area.
Earlier, PAGASA said it was monitoring a low pressure area in the vicinity of Baggao, Cagayan and another over the coastal waters of Balaon, Cagayan.
Flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila, CALABARAZON, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Antique, Iloilo, and Guimaras will experience the same conditions, this time, due to the southwest monsoon affecting southern Luzon and western Visayas.
Flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.
According to PAGASA, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
As for winds and coastal water, the weather bureau said Northern and Central Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters, PAGASA said.
