Nagsama-sama ang mga nagniningning na mga artista sa katatapos lang na 38th Star Awards for Movies ng The Philippine Movie Press Club, Inc. (PMPC) na ginanap noong July 16, Sunday, sa Centennial Hall ng Manila Hotel.
Modern Filipina ang naging theme ng gabi ng parangal sa mga natatanging mga personalidad.

Movie Actor of the Year – Vince Tañada, ‘Katips’
Best Film - ‘On The Job: The Missing 8’
Movie Director of the Year - Erik Matti
Movie Ensemble Acting of the Year – ‘On The Job’
Best Supporting Actress – Janice de Belen, ‘Big Night’ at Lotlot de Leon, ‘On The Job: The Missing 8’
Best Supporting Actor - JohnRey Rivas, ‘Katips’
Binigyan naman ng Lifetime Achievement Award si Helen Gamboa-Sotto at Nora Aunor. Pinarangalan din bilang Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera Lifetime Achievement Award: Director Chito Roño.
Mas lalong pinaningning ang gabi sa mga naging hosts nito na sina Claudine Barretto na naging ‘Female Star of the Night’, Sunshine Cruz na ‘Face of the Night’, Christian Bautista, ‘Male Star of the Night’ at Alfred Vargas, ‘Darling of the Press.’
