A 4.6-magnitude earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Sunday, August 30.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the earthquake -- an aftershock of the 7.8-magnitude Sarangani and 6.5-magnitude Davao Occidental earthquakes in June -- struck at 8:08 p.m.
Its epicenter was 36 km northwest of Balut Island.
The depth of focus was 42 km.
The following instrumental intensities were reported:

Intensity I - Maasim, Kiamba, Maitum, and Malungon, Sarangani; Tupi, South Cotabato
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
