Rains are still expected over parts of the country on Sunday, August 9.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Ilocos Sur, La Union, Abra, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro will experience monsoon rains due to the southwest monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas.
PAGASA said Metro Manila, the rest of Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, and Antique will have occasional rains.
Flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains are possible.
PAGASA said Batanes will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, this time, due to the trough of tropical cyclone "Dolphin."
Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, the rest of Luzon, Leyte, and Southern Leyte will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms while Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Extreme Northern Luzon will have strong to gale-force winds and rough to very rough coastal waters
The rest of the country will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
