The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait has issued an advisory urging Filipinos in the Middle Eastern country to continue to exercise caution.
The advisory came amid reports of intensified attacks in the region, following the collapse of an interim ceasefire between the US and Iran.
“Filipinos in Kuwait are advised to continue exercising vigilance and situational awareness. Please follow the advice and instructions of the concerned Kuwaiti authorities,” the embassy said.
It advised Filipinos to monitor only official sources of information.
It also provided the following recommendations:
Minimize travel and outdoor activities. Limit movement only necessary trips.
Ensure mobile phones and other devices are charged at all times.
Beware of fake news. Do not share misleading information or speculation.
The embassy said affected Filipinos may reach them via the following hotlines:
+965 9403 9063
+965 6040 3858
+965 6558 5355
It said those who need immediate police, medical, or other emergency assistance may call 112.
