Monsoon rains will continue to prevail over parts of the country on Monday, Aug. 18.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said
Benguet, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro will experience these conditions as the southwest monsoon affects Luzon and Visayas.
Flash floods or landslides due to heavy to intense rains are possible.
Metro Manila, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Rizal, Oriental Mindoro, and Antique will have occasional rains while Negros Island Region, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Western Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
The rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, PAGASA said, while Mindanao will experience the same conditions, but, this time, due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said the northern and western sections of Luzon and eastern portion of Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
