Magnitude 4.2 quake hits Occidental Mindoro

A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Occidental Mindoro on Sunday, Aug. 29.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:05 p.m.

Its epicenter was 11 km southwest of Mamburao.

The depth of focus was 24 km.

The following instrumental Intensities were reported:

Intensity II - Mamburao and Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro 
Intensity I - Looc and Abra De Ilog, Occidental Mindoro; City of Calapan and Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
