A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck Northern Samar on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:37 p.m.
Its epicenter was 73 km northeast of Mapanas.
The depth of focus was 10 km.
No damage to property was reported but aftershocks are expected.
