Laila G. Tumanan is a broadcast journalist and media executive who has built a career spanning more than three decades in the Philippine broadcast industry.
Tumanan began her broadcasting career in 1991 as a radio announcer, news reporter, and producer at Nation Broadcasting Corporation. In 1993, she joined DZEM under Christian Era Broadcasting Service, Inc. Her career continued to grow, and by 1998, she was among the Filipino journalists assigned to cover major government institutions, including Malacañang Palace, the Senate, the House of Representatives, and other important news beats.
She is a graduate of New Era University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.
A recipient of the Dr. Jose L. Guerrero Award, Tumanan has established a respected name in Philippine broadcasting through years of dedicated service. The experience, skills, and discipline she gained throughout her career have strengthened her commitment to responsible, credible, and public service-oriented journalism.
She later served as Station Manager of EBC’s AM radio station, DZEC 1062 kHz, before moving into television executive management as head of NET25 News and Entertainment.
Beyond her executive management duties, Tumanan remains active on-air as anchor of Edu-Aksyon and Usapang Pagbabago, where she discusses issues of public interest and national significance.
