A portion of North Avenue southbound will be temporarily closed to motorists during select hours starting July 8 until September 30.
The Department of Transportation said the temporary closure covering two lanes from Sugar Center to Ninoy Aquino Park and Wildlife Center from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm is to pave the way for the MRT-7 gable roof installation.
It said a zipper lane will be implemented on North Avenue northbound to "manage traffic flow."
Motorists were advised to take alternative routes.
"We seek the public's cooperation and understanding for the temporary inconvenience as the government continues its efforts to provide a better and more reliable commuting experience through an enhanced public transport infrastructure and systems," the DOTr said.
