Nvidia unveiled a major new chip in Taiwan on Monday (June 1).
The RTX Spark PC chip brings AI capabilities directly into laptops and desktop computers.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang spoke at the Computex Conference in Taiwan about the firm's latest innovation.
“There is no question this reinvention of the computer is as big of a deal as the reinvention of the phone into what we now know as the smartphone. And so this is the beginning of that journey."
He added its part of Nvidia's effort with Microsoft to 'reinvent' the PC for the AI era after three years of collaboration between the firms.
The chip is designed to run AI agents locally rather than rely solely on cloud computing, and due to be delivered this fall.
Some analysts believe it could transform how users engage with AI.
One market watcher told Reuters the chip aims to transform traditional app-centric PC's into Agentic AI personal computers.
Huang also showed off Nvidia's new Vera central processing unit - or CPU - at Computex.
It's designed for AI agents, and early adopters include OpenAI, Anthropic and SpaceX.
“This is going to be our new major growth driver. The reviews are already coming out and it’s pretty good. That’s pretty good stuff.”
Huang said last month the new Vera CPUs gives the firm access to a new $200 billion market.
Leaders of some of the world's largest technology companies are heading to Computex.
The trade show runs from June 2 to June 5.
