A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck Batanes on Thursday, Aug. 13.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:25 a.m.
Its epicenter was 3 km northwest of Basco.
The depth of focus was 8 km.
