BTS has added another major awards achievement to its 2026 comeback, earning three nominations at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
The group initially secured nominations for Song of the Year and Best K-Pop for “SWIM,” the lead single from their album ARIRANG.
BTS later received a third nomination after MTV announced the group among this year's contenders for Best Group.
The Best Group category also includes fellow K-pop acts BLACKPINK, KATSEYE and CORTIS, among eight nominated groups. BTS enters this year's ceremony with an established history at the VMAs, having previously won the group category four consecutive times from 2019 through 2022.
The 2026 MTV VMAs are scheduled for September 27 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, where this year's winners will be revealed.
The nominations arrive during a busy period for BTS, following the group's ARIRANG album release, world tour activities and their September performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
